Rojo pasión!

    El rojo más intenso, el que tiene más “pasión” sale de Birmania, hablo de los Rubíes, una piedra maravillosa por su color, también son conocidas las de buenas calidad en Tailandia, Madagascar o Tanzania.

 The most intense red, the one that has the most passion comes from Birmania. I am talking about the Ruby, a wonderful gem because of its color. Other well known rubies of good quality can also be found in Thailand, Madagascar, or Tanzania.

Estas piedras se suelen encontrar en las coronas europeas, en recuerdo del sufrimiento y de la sangre de cristo.

 This precious stones can be found in many Crowns from the European Royal Families, in memory of the suffering and the blood of Christ.

Podría escribir párrafos hablando de los rubíes, datos gemológicos, yacimientos, tipos de talla o de los poderes que se le atribuían antaño, pero casi que prefiero enseñaros los rubíes montados en piezas de joyería que es más entretenido y nos gusta más…  pero si tenéis dudas lo preguntáis y listo!!

 I could spend a while talking about rubies, with gemology info, places where they are found, types of cut, or the old powers they were supposed to have.. La gran actriz Liz Taylor , gran enamorada de las buenas joyas también optaba por los rubíes de vez en cuando aunque según tengo entendido su verdadera pasión eran las esmeraldas.

 Liz Taylor, the great actress, was a lover of good jewels. She wore rubies from time to time, although I think she was really crazy for emeralds.

Y para el final del post de hoy he reservado la pieza con rubíes que más me gusta, porque mi pasión son las joyas pero también los relojes, no sabría cual me gusta más ...  y este ME ENCANTA!!!!

 And, to finish, I have kept my favorite piece with rubies for the end. I love jewels but I absolutely love watches... specially this one.
