Moda e inversión!

    En nuestro mundo de los relojes de segunda mano encontramos bastantes que son de oro, grandes , pequeños con diamantes o sin, me encantan!  Quizá no para llevar todos los días pero si para llevarlos muy a menudo! Opino que completan muy bien cualquier look tanto informal como muy formal.
En el post de hoy os enseño los de la marca Rolex en oro amarillo...
Sé que muchos al leer Rolex de oro, ya se deben "exar pa atras" pero hay que tener en cuenta que comprar una pieza así a un buen precio como es el de los relojes de segunda mano es una muy buena inversión ya que siempre recibirás dinero por él por muchos años que pasen! Ya sabéis lo que hay que hacer ...

Tienes un DON???

        Yo soy de esas personas totalmente NULAS a la hora de hacer algo con mis manos , quizá se me den bien otras cosas, pero desde luego los trabajos manuales,NO!, sino habrá que preguntarle al profe de tecnología que tuve a los 14 años!!
Quizá es por ese motivo que admiro tantísimo a la gente que tiene ese "DON" , alucino con las personas que con unos trozos de tela te hacen un vestido, o que pintan cestas para el verano maravillosas, y sobre todo las personas que hacen complementos...

 I am one of those people who are completely useless at doing anything with my hands. I am good at other things but certainly not with handicrafts… My Arts teacher when I was 14 would tell you straightaway!! That might be the reason why I admire people who are talented, people who turn a few cloths into a beautiful dress, people who paint beautiful bags and baskets, and specially those who make accessories… Today we have received these at our Jewelry.

Los consejos son gratis!

  Hoy vamos a hablar sobre como limpiar tus joyas en casa. Así, si se hace de vez en cuando, las llevaras siempre perfectas. Puede dar un poco de pereza, pero es tan sencillo que merece la pena hacerlo, ya que no te llevara más de 10 minutillos!

Today we are going to find out how to clean our jewels. If you do this from time to time you will always wear them sparkling and shiny! It will only take you ten minutes and it is absolutely worth it! 

Hoy limpiaremos por ejemplo estas 3 piezas , oro blanco, oro amarillo , brillantes, aguamarina y topacio..
No useis este método si las joyas llevan perlas, coral o turquesas NUNCA! esas ya las explicaré otro día!

We will clean these pieces today: white gold, yellow gold, diamonds, aquamarine, and topaz..
Do not use this system if your jewels have coral, turquoises or pearls. NEVER! I will explain how to do those in another post. 

En primer lugar llenaremos un cuenco o tacita con un par de dedos de agua templada , o bien se puede meter en el microondas un par de segundos para calentar el agua ( al estar caliente hace que la suciedad se despegue mejor)
Le echamos un par de gotitas de jabón de lavavajillas (el que sea ya que son desengrasantes) y un par de gotas mas de amoniaco. Introducimos las piezas y las dejamos unos minutos.

Con un cepillo de dientes suave ( no es necesario que sea nuevo, alguno que tengáis por casa y que a partir de ahora sera vuestro "cepillo de joyas") cepilláis cuidadosamente las joyas, debajo de las piedras donde esta el engaste, también intentáis que lleguen bien las cerdas del cepillo.

Fill in a bowl with a bit of warm water which removes the filth better. Add two drops of dishwasher soap and some drops of ammonia. Put the jewels inside and keep them there for some minutes. Use a soft toothbrush to clean them carefully, specially the mount, just under the stone. From now on this toothbrush has a new job.

A continuación aclaráis con agua clara, que se aclaren bien, ser generosas!!!
MUY MUY IMPORTANTE al limpiar las joyas........

 Now rinse them well; be generous with the flowing water!! 
VERY IMPORTANT when cleaning your precious jewels: keep the plug on. Always!!! You wouldn't be the first one to see one of your earrings go down the pipe..

El tapón siempre puesto!!! Este debería ser el PRIMER paso de este post, acordaros siempreee! no serias la primera que se le ha ido un pendiente por el desagüe.


Bien, y para finalizar secamos la joyas con secador!! es el útimo paso y muy importante...el secador es clave para que queden perfectas, nada de secar con trapos o toallas! Notareis la diferencia!

To finish, user a hairdryer to dry them. This last step is really important to make the jewels look stunning!! No towels or cloths and you will see the difference!!

Anillos con sorpresa!!!

       SORPRESA!!!  Parece que por el título de este post un anillo siempre tiene que ser motivo de alegría ...  Pero no en esta ocasión, alomejor suena un poco “macabro”pero al decir sorpresa me refiero a un tipo de anillo con compartimento secreto , compartimento para el veneno!!! Jejeje Son bonitos, preciosos, de echo, llaman tanto la atención que nadie imagina lo que pueden esconder en su interior!!!

 Surprise! You may think the title of this post refers to a good thing, but not in this occasion. It might seem a bit creepy, but when I say surprise I am thinking  of a type of ring with a secret compartment; a compartment for poison!!! These rings are beautiful, gorgeous, so no one can imagine what they hide inside.

Se dice que nacieron en el antigua Egipto y que a lo largo de los años se extendieron por toda europa antes del año 1500, una de las Familias mas famosas en el uso de esta preciosa joya fueron los Borgia , Cesare Borgia siempre llevaba uno con un veneno muy peligroso ya que era incoloro e insaboro perfecto para asesinar a sus oponentes políticos. Su hermana Lucrecia también solía emplear este método con sus invitados, vertiendo el veneno en sus copas.

 They first appeared in Egypt and then expanded to all Europe before the 16th century. The well-known Borgia dinasty are thought to have used these rings; Cesare Borgia wore one with a very dangerous poison because it was colorless and had no scent. It was perfect to kill his political opponents. His sister Lucrecia is believed to have used this method with her guests, pouring the poison in their glasses.

Menos es Más!

La moda mini ya la tenemos entre nosotros desde hace algún tiempo , colgantes con cadenas súper finas, pulseritas con cordón y algún detallito más…cuanto más finito sea mejor! Da una sensación muy elegante a cualquier look , sea con un vestido de fiesta o con unos jeans estilo más informal…

Less is more ....  It is already for some time that the “micro” fashion is all around us: necklaces with extra-slim chains, bracelets made of a fabric cords and small accessories... The thinner the better! It gives an elegant touch to your looks, either if you are dressed for a night party or with casual jeans…

A mi me encanta que, si son en oro llevar solo una cosa, solo 1 pulsera queda monísimo, pero también me gusta mucho en el caso de las pulseritas de cordón con detalle en plata o metal llevar muchas, muchisimas,jejje cuantas más mejor!!!

If they are made of gold, I like to wear just one. I think it looks really good! But if they are the ones with cord or leather fabric and small silver details, then I prefer to mix them and wear as many as possible!!

Pero como ya se sabe que para gustos los colores, que cada uno se lo ponga como quiera que seguro que queda fantástico!

Mi joya Impaciente en Vietnam

Os presento a mi Joya impaciente de Vietnam...que lo disfruteis!! ;))
So this is my anxious Jewel in Vietnam… enjoy!! ;)

    Hoy mi gran amiga Sara me ha pedido colaboración en su maravilloso blog que acaba de empezar con muchas ganas e ilusión. Tiene junto a su familia una maravillosa Joyería en uno de los sitios mas bonitos de Palma de Mallorca, le encanta su profesión y se nota, lleva viviéndolo desde que nació y la dedicación y fuerza que han dedicado sus padres al negocio toda la vida lo a mamando con creces…
Volviendo al tema blog, me ha ofrecido el gran honor de poder hacer alguna entrada, la haré con mucha ilusión, soy nueva en esto, pero se hará lo mejor posible.
Por cosas de trabajo y la dichosa crisis que nos invade a todos, me he visto en la tesitura de irme a vivir a Vietnam, si si, Vietnam, aquí al lado… muy exótico…
Llevo 3 años y 3 meses y podría decir que empiezo a enterarme un poco de que va el país y sus gentes. De eso y de mis vivencias os quería hablar en mis entradas.
Esperando que a alguien le pueda interesar esta entrada viajera no me enrollo más y al lío!

 My close friend Sara has asked for my collaboration in this wonderful blog she has started with lots of enthusiasm and thrill. She owns a beautiful Jewelry in one of the most beautiful places in Palma, she loves her job and you can feel that! She has lived this World since she was born, and she has seen the dedication and strength her parents put into the business year after year.I have been asked to write a post from time to time, and I am really honoured. I am new in this, but I will try my best.
Due to my job and the well known economic crisis, I have been forced to live abroad, in Vietnam. Yes, Vietnam!! I am already here for 3 years and 3 months, and I am starting to feel what the country and its people are like..

Estarás cansado/a de ver fotos de China, Tailandia, Japón, Singapur… pero ¿Cuántas veces has visto alguna de Vietnam? ¿Qué conoces de este país aparte de que hubo una gran guerra hace más de 30 años? Puede que no lo suficiente, y la explicación es muy fácil. En contraste con el resto de países de Asia, Vietnam se ha mantenido alejado del turismo durante muchos años y en cierta forma todavía permanece como un país exótico y misterioso. Eso es algo que esta cambiando a marchas forzadas, poco a poco se está convirtiendo en uno de los destinos mas solicitados de toda Asia. Estos años de marginación tiene sus cosas buenas y malas, pero es lo que le da a este país su signo de identificación.

 You might have seen lots of pictures from China, Thailand, Japan, Singapur… but, have you seen many from Vietnam? What do you know about this country, apart from that great war that happened more than 30 years ago? Probable not enough. And the reason is very easy. Unlike other countries in Asia, Vietnam has kept away from tourism for many years, and because of that, it still remains as a misterious and exotic country. That is something that is changing really quickly. Little by little it is appearing as one of the most demanded destinations in Asia. These years of isolation have good and bad things, but they have given this country its soul.

Vietnam alcanza ya los 91 millones de habitantes, por lo que se pone en el puesto número 13 de los países más poblados del mundo.
Existen dos grandes núcleos urbanos: Hanói, la capital del país y centro político y cultural, y Ho Chi Minh City ( la antigua Saigón), la ciudad más poblada y centro económico y financiero.

 Vietnam has a growing population of already 91 million! It is ranked 13 in the list of most populated countries in the World.  There are two big urban centres: Hanoi is the capital city, and the political and cultural center of the country. Ho Chi Minh City (old Saigon) is the most populated city and the economic and financial center.

Ahi es donde vivo yo, en 3 años he podido comprobar lo rápido que cambia y crece esta ciudad. Ronda los 8 millones de habitantes y circulan unas 6 millones de motocicletas por sus calles, una locura, pero sin ella no haces nada.
Es una ciudad dinámica, que está en constante cambio y que no duerme JAMÁS! NYC no es nadie al lado de nuestra Ho Chi Minh.

 That is where I live. I have been able to see how quickly this city changes and grows. 8 million people live here and there are around 6 million motorbikes in its streets. It is crazy! The scooter is an absolute must-have here. It is a dinamic city which is changing all the time and it NEVER EVER sleeps. NYC is nothing compared to our Ho Chi Minh.

Hoy os enseño como es esta ciudad a simple vista, la ciudad y sus gentes, espero que disfrutéis, hasta la próxima.
