Surprise! You may think the title of this post refers to a good thing, but not in this occasion. It might seem a bit creepy, but when I say surprise I am thinking of a type of ring with a secret compartment; a compartment for poison!!! These rings are beautiful, gorgeous, so no one can imagine what they hide inside.
They first appeared in Egypt and then expanded to all Europe before the 16th century. The well-known Borgia dinasty are thought to have used these rings; Cesare Borgia wore one with a very dangerous poison because it was colorless and had no scent. It was perfect to kill his political opponents. His sister Lucrecia is believed to have used this method with her guests, pouring the poison in their glasses.
We have two of them here in our Jewelry, one in gold and the other one in silver. They are really special pieces, I absolutely love them!!
Feliz Martes y 13!!! ;)
I swear I will never reveal who buys them in the near future…
Happy Tuesday 13th (the equivalent to Friday 13 in Spain!) ;)
