  Hoy vamos a hablar sobre como limpiar tus joyas en casa. Así, si se hace de vez en cuando, las llevaras siempre perfectas. Puede dar un poco de pereza, pero es tan sencillo que merece la pena hacerlo, ya que no te llevara más de 10 minutillos!

Today we are going to find out how to clean our jewels. If you do this from time to time you will always wear them sparkling and shiny! It will only take you ten minutes and it is absolutely worth it! 

Hoy limpiaremos por ejemplo estas 3 piezas , oro blanco, oro amarillo , brillantes, aguamarina y topacio..
No useis este método si las joyas llevan perlas, coral o turquesas NUNCA! esas ya las explicaré otro día!

We will clean these pieces today: white gold, yellow gold, diamonds, aquamarine, and topaz..
Do not use this system if your jewels have coral, turquoises or pearls. NEVER! I will explain how to do those in another post. 

En primer lugar llenaremos un cuenco o tacita con un par de dedos de agua templada , o bien se puede meter en el microondas un par de segundos para calentar el agua ( al estar caliente hace que la suciedad se despegue mejor)
Le echamos un par de gotitas de jabón de lavavajillas (el que sea ya que son desengrasantes) y un par de gotas mas de amoniaco. Introducimos las piezas y las dejamos unos minutos.

Con un cepillo de dientes suave ( no es necesario que sea nuevo, alguno que tengáis por casa y que a partir de ahora sera vuestro "cepillo de joyas") cepilláis cuidadosamente las joyas, debajo de las piedras donde esta el engaste, también intentáis que lleguen bien las cerdas del cepillo.

Fill in a bowl with a bit of warm water which removes the filth better. Add two drops of dishwasher soap and some drops of ammonia. Put the jewels inside and keep them there for some minutes. Use a soft toothbrush to clean them carefully, specially the mount, just under the stone. From now on this toothbrush has a new job.

A continuación aclaráis con agua clara, que se aclaren bien, ser generosas!!!
MUY MUY IMPORTANTE al limpiar las joyas........

 Now rinse them well; be generous with the flowing water!! 
VERY IMPORTANT when cleaning your precious jewels: keep the plug on. Always!!! You wouldn't be the first one to see one of your earrings go down the pipe..

El tapón siempre puesto!!! Este debería ser el PRIMER paso de este post, acordaros siempreee! no serias la primera que se le ha ido un pendiente por el desagüe.


Bien, y para finalizar secamos la joyas con secador!! es el útimo paso y muy importante...el secador es clave para que queden perfectas, nada de secar con trapos o toallas! Notareis la diferencia!

To finish, user a hairdryer to dry them. This last step is really important to make the jewels look stunning!! No towels or cloths and you will see the difference!!
